April 9 Boat Bike pre-tour
We will fly back to Brussels, Belgium, from Dublin, Ireland, on May 12 to begin the final leg of our journey which is a day trip by bus out side of Brussels then a seven day cycling and barge cruise in Belgium and the Netherlands ending in Amsterdam, then flying home. We will be cycling on the Dutch Azor bicycle equipped with seven Shimano speeds and rollerbrakes – a kind of disk brake, a waterproof pannier with a water bottle and a GPS device. We will be cycling and cruising in and through the cities of Bruges, Ghent, St. Amands and Antwerp in Belgium’s western Flanders region into the Netherlands countryside of Zeeland to Dordrecht, Vianen and Amsterdam on a specialized boat designed on a barge base. The Magnifique I has a capacity for 32 passengers and 5 crew. We will begin the voyage in Bruges, Belgium, on May 14.
